Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda who is on a three-day official visit to the State of Odisha met with the Chief Minister and the Governor of the State.
High Commissioner Moragoda’s meeting with the Odisha Chief Minister Shri Naveen Patnaik was held today (22) at the Naveen Niwas in Bhubaneswar. Their discussion, which was held in a very cordial manner, recalled the historical ties and the deep cultural bond between the State of Odisha and Sri Lanka.

The High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi recently felicitated seven members of its local staff who have completed twenty-four years of service.
Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda presented mementos to these staff members recognizing their long service, at a simple ceremony held at the High Commission on 18th instant.

Sri Lanka’s High Commissioner to India Milinda Moragoda addressed the students of the 63rd National Defence Course at the National Defence College (NDC) in New Delhi, today (18) on the theme ‘Evolution of India-Sri Lanka Relation: Opportunities and Challenges.’
At the outset, High Commissioner Moragoda highlighted the uniqueness of India-Sri Lanka relations drawing examples from historical ties to the present-day dynamics which involve a wide range of critical facets that define the relations between India and her closest maritime neighbour Sri Lanka.

High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to India Milinda Moragoda who is on a two-day official visit to the State of Maharashtra unveiled a portrait of St. Joseph Vaz, the ‘Apostle of Sri Lanka’ at the Archbishop’s House in Mumbai in the presence of Archbishop of Bombay, His Eminence Oswald Cardinal Gracias today (14).
The High Commissioner and the Archbishop of Bombay had an exchange of views pertaining to the close religious ties between Sri Lanka and India and particularly on the ways and means to promote people to people contacts through interactions between the Catholic communities in the two countries.
Sri Lanka’s Consul General in Mumbai Dr. Valsan Vethody was also present on this occasion.
