High Commissioner Prasad Kariyawasam joined Commerce Minister Anand Sharma, Secretary of Textiles Smt. Rita Menon and the Development Commissioner of Handcrafts of India in inaugurating the Theme Pavilion of Indian Handicrafts “MAGIC OF GIFTED HANDS” & the India-Sri Lanka Crafts Exchange Programme at the India International Trade Fair in New Delhi on 14 November 2011.

Under the India – Sri Lanka Crafts Exchange Programme, five award winning craftspersons from Sri Lanka showcase their products at this Theme Pavilion for exhibition and sale from 14 – 27 November 2011 at this widely attended  and renowned international Fair.

This Exchange Programme is jointly organized by the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts) of India and the National Crafts Council of Sri Lanka as a reciprocal event between India and Sri Lanka.
