The year has started on a high note for food lovers in Mumbai as the much awaited Sri Lankan restaurant Ministry of Crab opened in the city. A brainchild of celebrated chef and restaurateur Dharshan Munidasa, Ministry of Crab is Sri Lanka’s first restaurant to have started the trend of serving lagoon crabs. Started in 2011, it also made it to Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants list recently, adding Sri Lanka on a must-visit list for the global culinary audience. While the award-winning eatery in Sri Lanka is housed in a renovated 400-year-old Dutch Hospital, its 6,000-square-foot Mumbai outpost charms with its elegant Lankan deco vibe at Zaveri House in Khar.
